Conditions of the Avis best price guarantee
1. The Avis best price guarantee only applies to vehicle rentals prepaid and booked directly through www.avis.at and is not valid for bookings through other websites which link to the Avis website, telephone bookings via the reservation hotline or station, or for vehicle rentals which are only paid for upon return of the vehicle.
2. The comparison offer applies to an identical offer with regards to rental pick-up and return station, vehicle category, date, time and rental duration, terms of payment and services included such as accessories or additional services. The comparison offer must be booked separately and may not be part of a travel service package.
3. The comparison offer must be immediately available on a Swiss website and in the same currency as the booking made by you at avis.at.
4. Comparison offers are excluded which are not publically available and are granted to closed user groups through discount or AWD numbers, corporate customer deals and other special agreements. Further excluded are offers which have already been discounted through the use of vouchers, bonus points and other individual discounts.
What does the Avis best price guarantee offer?
If you have reserved and prepaid for a rental on avis.ch but have found a cheaper offer for an Avis rental vehicle somewhere else, which meets the abovementioned conditions, we will refund you after rental the difference between the comparison offer and the prepaid rental price. In addition, we will send you an upgrade voucher for your next Avis rental.
How do I receive the refund?
1. Claims must be made within 72 hours after the binding booking with Avis at firstname.lastname@example.org.
2. The claimant and reservation holder must be identical. Applications for claims must be made by sending us an email to the below address with the following details: full name, address, telephone number, email address, Avis booking number, URL and screenshot of the cheaper offer, travel dates (date and time of airport collection and return), requested vehicle category as well as the rental pick-up and return station to email@example.com.
3. Incomplete or late applications are not covered by the Avis best price guarantee. Offers which cannot be proven online within the review period are also excluded.
4. All applications are checked by Avis within 10 working days. If the best price guarantee requirements are met, Avis will refund the amount by which the comparison offer is lower than the rental price paid by you within 7 working days after termination of your rental, and to the credit card originally used. You will also receive an upgrade voucher valid in many Avis countries.
5. A refund of the difference is not possible if you have cancelled your booking with Avis.
6. We reserve the right to amend or terminate this offer.
